Gokonek.com  ·  Last updated: 8 October 2026

Gokonek.com has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM). These standards apply to Gokonek.com, its mobile app, and all content and interactions on the service, including posts, profiles, photos, videos, live streams, and chats.

For these standards, a child is anyone under the age of 18. These protections apply regardless of whether an account is operated by a child or an adult.

Gokonek.com Child Safety Standards

1. Prohibited content and behaviour

Gokonek.com prohibits content, conduct, and accounts that sexually abuse, exploit, or endanger children. This includes:

  • Creating, uploading, possessing through the service, sharing, requesting, selling, or linking to CSAM, including sexually explicit depictions of children and computer-generated depictions of child sexual abuse.
  • Grooming, sexual solicitation, or attempts to establish contact with a child for sexual exploitation.
  • Sexual extortion, coercion, trafficking, or commercial sexual exploitation involving children.
  • Encouraging, facilitating, normalising, or providing instructions for child sexual abuse or exploitation.
  • Bullying, harassment, or threats directed at children, and encouraging children toward self-harm, dangerous challenges, or other harmful activity.
  • Collecting personal information from children, or sharing a child’s personal details such as home address, school, or phone number, without valid consent.

These prohibitions apply to public content and private interactions. Attempting to evade moderation or use another account to continue prohibited behaviour is also prohibited.

2. Minimum age and children’s use of the service

Gokonek.com is intended for users who meet the minimum age required by the laws of their country. In any case, users must be at least 13 years old, or older where local law sets a higher age for digital consent (for example, up to 16 in some countries).

Users under the age of majority in their country should use the service only with the knowledge and permission of a parent or legal guardian. Where required by law, we obtain verifiable parental consent before collecting a child’s personal data.

If we learn that an account belongs to a person below the applicable minimum age, we may suspend or delete the account and the associated data. Parents or guardians who believe their child has created an account without permission may contact us at [email protected].

3. Protections for minors

To help keep younger users safe, Gokonek.com applies the following principles, consistent with international standards on children’s rights and online safety:

  • Best interests of the child: We consider the safety and wellbeing of children when designing and moderating the service.
  • Privacy by default: Where we identify a user as a minor, we aim to apply the most protective privacy settings available.
  • Limited contact from strangers: Adults are prohibited from contacting minors for any inappropriate, sexual, or exploitative purpose, and we may restrict unsolicited contact between adults and minors.
  • No targeted advertising to children: We do not use the personal data of minors for profiling or behavioural advertising.
  • Age-appropriate content: Content that is sexual, violent, or otherwise unsuitable for minors is not permitted to be shown to or directed at them.
  • Location privacy: We discourage and may restrict the public sharing of a minor’s precise location.

4. Guidance for children, parents, and guardians

  • Children should never share passwords, home address, school name, phone number, or private photos with people they do not know in real life.
  • Children should not meet in person with someone they only know online without a trusted adult’s knowledge and presence.
  • Anyone who feels uncomfortable, pressured, or threatened online should stop the conversation, save the evidence (such as screenshots, but never images of child abuse), and tell a trusted adult.
  • Parents and guardians are encouraged to talk openly with children about online safety, review privacy settings together, and report concerns to us or to local authorities.
  • No child is ever at fault for being targeted by an abuser.

5. How to report a child safety concern

In the app: open the relevant post or user profile, open its options menu, and select Report. For concerns involving a person in a direct conversation, use the report-user option in the conversation details. Choose the most appropriate available category, including Something Else where needed, and describe the child safety concern in the report details.

By email: contact [email protected] with the subject Gokonek.com Child Safety Report. This is also an alternative if you cannot locate an in-app reporting option.

Where available, include the username, a link or identifier for the relevant content, the date, and a brief description of your concern. You do not need to investigate or prove that a violation has occurred before reporting it.

Do not download, forward, re-upload, or email suspected CSAM. Report its location or identifier instead. If a child is in immediate danger, contact the emergency services or child protection authorities in your location.

6. How Gokonek.com responds

Gokonek.com reviews child safety reports and takes appropriate action under these standards and applicable law. When we obtain actual knowledge of CSAM on the service, we remove it or disable access to it. We also address other content or behaviour that violates these standards.

Depending on the circumstances, action may include removing content, restricting an account, suspending or terminating accounts, and taking steps to prevent further distribution or repeated abuse. Relevant information may be preserved when needed and permitted for legal reporting or an investigation.

7. Legal compliance and reporting

Gokonek.com requires compliance with applicable child safety laws, including, where relevant, the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, the U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and the laws of the Philippines such as the Anti-Online Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children (OSAEC) and Anti-Child Sexual Abuse or Exploitation Materials (CSAEM) Act (RA 11930) and the Data Privacy Act (RA 10173).

If CSAM or child sexual exploitation is identified, Gokonek.com will report it to the appropriate regional or national authorities, or a legally designated reporting organisation, as required by applicable law.

We cooperate with lawful requests from competent authorities and handle relevant information in accordance with applicable legal obligations. These standards do not replace the responsibilities of law enforcement or child protection services.

8. Handling report information

Information supplied in a child safety report is used to assess the concern, take appropriate action, and meet applicable reporting or legal obligations. Access is limited to those who need the information for these purposes, including relevant authorities where disclosure is required or legally permitted.

Please provide only the information necessary to identify and explain the concern. Further information about personal data is available in our Privacy Policy.
